"The US National Association of Theatre Owners says it is reviewing security procedures in movie theatres, Reuters news agency reports."

I’m gonna call it: They’re going to enforce bag checks at the door. But they won’t be conducted by security personnel, just by regular theater staff, so they won’t actually make anything safer; they’ll use it to keep people from bringing their own drinks and snacks.

I’m calling it now.

I’ve only had my bag checked at a movie theater once: when I saw “8 Mile” in college.  It was also coincidentally the only time I ever saw that many black people in my local Boston theater.  Maybe they should start security checks at movies frequented by young white males.
