I know I was just complaining about dickheads who mimic my West African prof’s accent, but let me just say that he told this girl to “start the dance” when he meant “get the ball rolling” (i.e., you go first) and everyone was like… what the fuck are you talking about. Just confused silence. So he rephrased it to “bounce the ball,” which makes even less sense.
