Make rules for yourself.

Examples:

  • “I have to make my lunch to take to school/work/etc before I go to bed every night.”
  • “I have to walk the dog every second day for at least 30 minutes.”
  • “I have to go over my schedule every Sunday and make sure it works.”

Don’t let yourself break the rules. If you feel that you can get away with or put off not doing things, you probably won’t end up doing them. I still struggle with this all the time.
