The Wolf of Wall Street was really good. Much better than I anticipated.

Leo’s supermodel obsession gives me gas face, but I love watching Leo in just about anything. It used to be hit or miss for me, but if he is in something, I love him. I like it when he is funny. He has great timing and the scenes with him and Matthew McAwesomesauce are a highlight.

I want to love Leo and root for him always, and I almost do now that he even cracked up at the joke made on him at the Golden Globes, but I honestly feel like if he is really that much of a man-child in his relationships with women and all he wants is a woman who looks abnormally amazing in a bikini, I’m just meh.

And it’s the same way I feel about George Clooney. I could watch him tie his shoes, but the fact that he is so clearly ick about women (or closeted or I dunno) makes me not fully go there and want to immerse myself in their work.

And yeah, I know we’re not supposed to conflate one person’s work with their personal life and Leo doesn’t act like an outright pig, but come on. And I don’t need to watch a man actor who is lovingly devoted to his wife or partner or whatever. Hell, Chiwetel may be the biggest player around! But his manner and how he speaks, IRL and beyond, says something else, and it is important to me.

But I am just in this place where it’s like, I am watching and know you don’t respect women, or your behavior in life shows little, and it frustrates me.

Anywho.

That’s 100% how I feel about all those dudes, except Leo and Clooney do nothing for me anyway so it’s no real loss.

This is the most tragically depressing movie I’ve ever seen in my life.
