Joan Jett had a stunningly beautiful teenage girlfriend named Lisa. Everyone called her Devil Worship. When I did this photo session at The Tropicana Motel back in 1978 she was on the phone with Lisa during part of the session or I entitle this photograph, “One The Phone With Lisa”.

the runaways will be the queer rock chick flick of 2010, assuming the film makes it all the way to sundance with its joan jett/cherie curry scenes intact.

we can’t wait for all the twilight fangirls who flock to see kristen stewart—who in this clip looks as much like the L word’s kate moennig as jett—and then come home wanting a guitar and a girlfriend.

and then there’s the still nowhere-near-legal dakota fanning. this is going to be like south of nowhere on speed—or so we hope.
